What is it?

SkyDrift is an arcade-style airplane racing game where you pilot planes through colourful aerial tracks, using boosts, acrobatics and combat-style power-ups to outfly and outgun opponents.

How it Plays

You race in three main modes: standard races with weapons and pickups, pure speed races where you grab rings for boost, and knockout races where last-place pilots get kicked out over time. Flying close to terrain or pulling stunts fills your boost gauge, and power-ups like missiles or mines let you shake up the pack. Planes handle responsively, fast manoeuvring and precise control are rewarded, but crashes or hits tend not to be too punishing, keeping the flow chaotic and forgiving

• After a few hours the variety wears thin, the limited tracks and modes start to feel repetitive.
• No local split-screen or couch co-op which limits multiplayer fun.
• Power-ups and weapons are fun but not super original, its all a little generic.

Verdict

SkyDrift is a fun and energetic racer that delivers immediate thrills and smooth flying without demanding too much from the player. It may not have deep progression or wide variety, but for quick sessions of arcade style racing it hits the mark with confidence.
